Course: BCN Retreat, without presentation
---------------only for BCN PhD students-----------------
All BCN PhD students will be invited to the Retreat. First and third years student are welcome as audience, while students in the second and fourth years of their project are invited to give a presentation on their project, followed by a 7-minute discussion. Student that do not present, are asked a question after a specific talk, this is scheduled in advance. All participants are expected to be actively involved in the discussions following the presentations. Several senior staff members will be present to join in the discussions. Two senior staff members will provide feedback to the speakers.
Learning outcomes
• Make a distinction between what to keep and what to omit from the presentation
• Discuss with fellow PhD students and senior scientists, both within and
outside your field
• Ask questions about other researchers’ presentations.
