Course: Research Data Management Awareness

NB. This e-learning module is obligatory for PhD students who started their project on January 1, 2017 or later.

NB. It is strongly recommended to complete this module directly at the start of the project preferably within the first six months.

E-learning module: Research Data Management Awareness

The mandatory module Research Data Management Awareness is now available as an e-learning module. It is free of charge and takes approximately 1-1,5 hours to complete. Once you have completed the e-learning you can make a certificate and upload the certificate PDF in Hora Finita. Instructions for obtaining this certificate are given in the ‘Afterword’ within the module.

In the search bar, type 'Research Data Management Awareness', select the course, and then click on 'start the course' after which you will be asked to register.

When you have finished the e-learning

Workshop: Draft DMP Review is a voluntary follow-up workshop. Once you have completed the e-module ‘Research Data Management Awareness’, and have drafted your own data management plan, you are invited to attend a 1,5 hour workshop to receive feedback on your plan. During the workshop, you and a fellow researcher will review each other’s DMP with the aid of a handout.  Data Stewards from the UMCG Digital Competence Center will be present to answer your questions and facilitate central discussions. Register for the workshop
