Personal Development 3: Leadership and management skills

Course description

You will sooner or later be in a situation where you have to lead a group of people or have to manage a project. Sometimes officially as an appointed leader, but often unofficially and/or temporarily, just because someone has to do it, and you’re the expert on the subject!

This course is an introduction about effectively leading a team and managing projects, taking into account the desired output of a team. If you want to lead and manage you’ll have to learn how a team functions and what you want with a project. 'Leading' can seem complicated, but actually it is based on analytical skills and insight in your own motivations and those of the other team-members. A team usually has a task: managing this task asks for a good definition of tasks and goals, and communicating this with your team
