Personal Development 2: Dealing with conflicts and cultural differences
How to find your way in a cross-cultural workplace
Course description |
Throughout a PhD there are many opposing ideals, characters and values involved, that could easily lead to a conflict. There can be conflicts over ideas, values and emotions. We then have to negotiate to get to an agreement with other people. How does this work? How can you get the best out of this, or even more than you expected? You have to deal with expectations and various cultures; this can make diplomacy complex, but also very interesting! Dealing with conflicts in a positive and efficient way makes your work more effective and satisfying.
