Course description

Please note that these trainings are offered by the UG department of Educational support and Innovation (ESI). The GSSE is not involved in the organization or administration of these courses.

Educational Support and Innovation offers two teaching courses for PhDs. Start to Teach is designed for PhD students with teaching activities. This course covers the foundational principles of university teaching. Introduction to Teaching is designed for PhD students without teaching activities. It gives PhD students a first insight into the teaching profession.

ESI offers central support to all the teaching activities within the UG. Developed in collaboration with the Groningen Graduate school, Start to Teach and Introduction to Teaching are part of the Career Perspectives Series. The Career Perspectives Series offer courses for PhD students to develop their soft skills.
