Dutch level 2 (CEFR B1 or CEFR B2)

Course description

"I would highly recommend the Dutch Course Level 2 to any student keen on learning the language in an interactive and engaging way. Fros van der Maden made this course enjoyable even after a long day at work!" - course participant, June 2017

Students who wish to take part in the advanced Dutch course require a basic knowledge of Dutch. Much attention will be paid to building up a working grammatical framework as well as to systematically enlarging your vocabulary. The materials used during the course have been developed over the years in Dutch courses for academics working and studying at the RUG. Though all areas in acquiring a foreign language will be covered, emphasis in class will be on conversation

The time commitment is 1h45m weekly, plus 2 to 4 hours homework per week.

The course ends with an assessment. In order to get a certificate you should attend at least 75% of the meetings (but preferably all).

Due to Covid-19 the course is offered online (ZOOM-meetings).
